Kirsten Knight, LCPC

I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most crucial component to success in treatment. I am skilled at helping my clients feel connected, comfortable, and validated in a safe space. Every client is unique and requires individualized treatment in order to heal and grow during the therapeutic process.

To provide comprehensive care, I take a holistic approach with clients to ensure all aspects of health are taken into consideration during treatment. I prioritize collaboration with other providers with whom you have trusted with your care, as a connected team-based approach has always proven to be the most effective. My treatment modalities are eclectic and will vary based on my client's needs. The modalities I most often practice include Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Client Centered Therapy. My specialties include working with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and self-image issues, self-harm, social difficulties, and issues surrounding gender and sexual identity. I work with adolescent and adult clients.

I have worked in a variety of settings during my career including a residential treatment facility, behavioral health hospital, therapeutic day school, and private practices. I received my master’s degree from Lewis University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and hold my license as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
