No matter who you are, or where you come from, or how you identify, my goal is simple. I want you to feel understood—never judged—and hopeful for positive change.

In my office, you will feel welcomed and appreciated in an environment that is warm, comforting, safe and inviting. Although you will likely be challenged in our sessions, you will never feel judged. The issue you may be dealing with could be recent or life-long. In either case, the choice is yours on how long we work together, and I invite you to discuss that with me.

I work especially well with people who struggle with low self-esteem, depression, shame, guilt or fear. I am comfortable discussing scary and difficult issues, and I have been trained extensively in multicultural issues. It is important to me as a clinician to work with a very diverse group of clients.  I have worked extensively with LGBTQ+ people as well as those with HIV or a chronic illness. Often, these people have been subjected to much shaming, stigma and trauma that we work to understand and overcome.

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Psychology. I also have a Master of Science from Roosevelt University in Chicago.  Both of these Institutions specialize in diverse populations and needs of communities.

I have significant experience working with people who deal with:

• Anxiety disorders

• Bipolar illness

• Co-dependency

• HIV

• LGBTQ+

• Chronic Illness

• Compulsive behaviors

• Depression

• Substance abuse disorders
