Dr. Cori Harley, Psy.D

If you seek a very friendly, inviting, and supportive clinician, look no further. I specialize in building a trusting, empathic, therapeutic relationship with my clients, which in turn, helps them identify their strengths and use those strengths to cope with and manage life’s challenges. Ultimately, it is my belief that by using a client-centered, multicultural and interdisciplinary approach to therapy, clients are empowered to take the lead on their own life. I want your personality and experiences to shine during therapy, because ultimately your perspective and personal identity will also lead to your healing and growth.

As a clinical and forensic psychologist, I have had the immense pleasure of working with a range of clients across various settings: individuals, families and couples who have experienced significant trauma, physical and/or sexual violence, court involvement or interactions with the legal system, grief and loss, and suffer from issues such as anxiety and depression as a result of those traumas. I also specialize in and I am extremely passionate about worth/self-love/ self-esteem issues, identity concerns, LGBTQ+ concerns, relationship issues, anger and stress management concerns, mood disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and all other psychological issues related to chronic illness and stress.

I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a dual Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from North Central College. Additionally, I specialize in psychological assessment, which assists clients in gaining a deeper insight into their mental health concerns and diagnosis. With over 16 years of clinical experience and professional training, I am confident I’ll be able to help you effectively process any challenges faced and identify coping skills to help reduce any stress or symptoms present. My ultimate goal is for you to thrive and feel accepted for exactly who you are.
