Wearing a mask and watching your distance is a selfless act. It communicates to others that you care about their wellbeing, too. It demonstrates solidarity, empathy and respect to the communities in which you live and interact.

This year especially, with city and community fireworks being canceled due to COVID, we must all remain aware of how these changes might impact those suffering from PTSD.

Do we celebrate this momentous victory, or do we continue to scream in frustration? Protections in the workplace aren’t enough when BASIC human rights to healthcare— to life saving medical attention—have been stripped.

There’s a lot to be learned. A lot that must be improved. A lot of growth to be made. And, a lot of healing to be done.
